  • The purpose of this study is to provide empirical evidence about the positive influence of performance appraisal on employee performance. This research also wants to prove the role of organizational culture as an intervening variable. Data used are primary data. Data were obtained through questionnaires distribution to respondents. The respondents were selected using purposive sampling method. The criteria are as follows: full time lecturer or homebase lecturer at private university in West Jakarta area. Hypotheses were tested using regression analysis and path analysis. The resultshows that the performance appraisal has a positive influence on employee performance. Organizational culture as an intervening variable cannot be proven through this research.
