Kajian hermeneutika representasi pluralisme agama dan budaya dalam film "Cinta Tapi Beda"

- Indonesia is a nation that consists of various tribes, nations, cultures, religions and races. These diverse elements have allowed us to shape our way of thinking, behaving, and taking action in an open manner. However, the notion that a race or a religion is higher than the others is still taking place and it causes the stereotypes and discriminatory attitudes in people. The motive behind this research of analyzing the movie Cinta Tapi Beda is the importance to have an understanding of pluralism in the midst of diversity that Indonesian people have. The theory used to analyze the representation of religion and culture pluralism in Cinta Tapi Beda movie is Ast and Schleilermacher hermeneutic theory about the principle of hermeneutic circle. Submission and research are conducted with the primary data that consists of interviews and observation of non-participants, and secondary data from literature study and documentation. The results showed that there are some scenes in the movie “ Cinta Tapi Beda” containing the values of religion and culture pluralism. It showed that this movie does not favor one of the religion nor culture, but it is open and have toleration towards the diversity that exists in Indonesia.
