Daftar Isi:
- The use of pre-tensioned bolts in sheet steel (thin plate) connections is not economical, and leads to the development of various kinds of the connection devices such as rivets, screws, clamps, etc. This paper summarizes the research results of a new connection system in cold-rolled sheet steel using groove washer. The proposed hypothesis was verified using calibrated numerical simulations and experimental tests. A formulation has been developed to predict the capacity of the new connection system, which has a great potential for further development to meet the requirements of the industry owing to its superior performance.
