  • UPH had its own academic information system that has already been used for a long time. Recently, it was changed with another system for some reasons. Because of the changes, the advantages and disadvantages of the new system is not yet identified. To find out the differences, observation and comparation between the old system called MenuMaker and the new system called OPCS is needed. In order to compare the systems, mapping of the business process of the system is required and thus a modeling tool called The Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) is used. This mapping technique is supported by theory and notation. After all of the business process are mapped the result will show the differences between old and new systems. The last thing to do is to analyse the BPMN result to know the impact of the changed system. By observing the results, it takes 490 seconds for MenuMaker to process the new student registration. On the other hand, MenuMaker and OPCS which is the current system, takes 850 seconds because it uses two systems and there is a repetition that causes the process to work slower. The simplified recommended solution is just to use OPCS since it only takes 685 seconds, does not have repetition but has the same function with the current system.
