- Planners can take advantage of the ductility of the structure, which in addition to attention the strength of the structure, but also more economical. In this thesis, compared to the results of the moment and shear reinforcement in beams and columns of the limited ductility and full ductility method. There is one case that shows the condition of “weak column-strong beam” on the limited ductility method. Therefore need to study about this method on other structures coupled with the method of full ductility so that it can be a more mature assessment. At the planning of column moment reinforcement, also compared the results of uniaxial and biaxial calculations. This is important because in reality, earthquake force works more often in two different directions (biaxial) rather than one direction (uniaxial). Based on the results obtained, moment and shear reinforcement in beams with limited ductility method is more than full ductility. In contrast to the column, the full ductility is little more because it uses theory of design capacity, which allows the collapse of the column will not occur but the beams first. Thus, these results indicate the similar condition (weak column-strong beam). Futhermore, the calculation of the column reinforcement using graphs, the results show that the moment reinforcement in column at the ground floor is fewer than the upper floors. It is necessary to further research on theory and graphs used.
