- Students as social beings must interaction. When interacting between teacher-students, individuals will perceive the relationship so that it influences their learning motivation. Therefore, good emotional intelligence is needed to help increase student motivation. Factors of high and low perception of teacher-student interaction and emotional intelligence play an important role in increasing learning motivation.This study aims to: 1) Determine the relationship between student perceptions of teacher-student interaction with learning motivation in the "X" Yogyakarta Vocational High School, 2) Know the relationship between emotional intelligence and learning motivation in the "X" Vocational High School in Yogyakarta; 3) Knowing the relationship between student perceptions of teacher-student interaction and emotional intelligence with learning motivation at the Yogyakarta "X" Vocational High School.The subject of this research is the X grade students in Yogyakarta SMK "X". The number of researched is 70 samples taken from population 212 using proportional random sampling. analyzed by regression analysis. The results of this research described that: 1. There was a positive relationship between student perceptions to teacher-student interaction to the learning motivation with value coefficient 45.8%; 2. There was a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and learning motivation with value coefficient of 50,3%; 3. There was a relationship between student perceptions to teacher-student interaction and emotional intelligence together with learning motivation value of the corellations coefficient of 0.780. From the results of the study it can be concluded that learning motivation can be improved by enhancing positive student perceptions to teacher-student interaction, and enhancing emotional intelligence.Keywords: Learning Motivation, Student Perceptions of Teacher-Student Interaction, Emotional Intelligence.
