- Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan konsentrasi minyak cengkeh (Eugenia aromatica) yang optimal untuk anestesi benih ikan patin dengan metode transportasi tertutup. Rancangan acak lengkap yang digunakan dengan 4 perlakuan, yaitu tanpa minyak cengkeh (kontrol) minyak cengkeh (0,010 ml/l), (0,015 ml/l), dan (0,020 ml/l) dengan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada masa induksi konsentrasi tercepat untuk memingsankan benih ikan patin adalah 0,020 ml/l dengan waktu 5 menit, pada masa sedatif konsentrasi yang tercepat untuk penyadaran ikan adalah 0,010 ml/l dengan waktu 10 menit, untuk kelangsungan hidup tertinggi terlihat pada konsentrasi 0,015 ml/l dengan kelulusan hidup 87,14 % , sedangkan tingkat kelulusan hiduo terendah terlihat pada perlakuan kontrol yaitu 42,28 %. Konsentrasi minyak cengkeh yang optimal untuk pengangkutan benih ikan patin dengan ukuran 2-3 cm adalah 0,015 ml/l.
