THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DUBBING STRATEGY THROUGH ECOCRITICISM MOVIE ON STUDENT’S SPEAKING ABILITY

- In this research, the objectives of the research are to find out the effectiveness of using dubbing strategy through ecocriticism movie on students’ speaking ability and To find out the students’ perception of dubbing movie strategy through ecocriticism movie on students’ speaking ability. Related to the object of the research, the writer used pre-experimental (one group pre test and post test) method, with quantitative approach. The research was conducted at Unggulan Harapan Ummat Senior High School Puri in academic year 2018/2019. The population in this research were students of Unggulan Harapan Ummat Senior High School Puri. The sample were second grade of Unggulan Harapan Ummat Senior High School Puri The total numbers of sample are 15 students. The researcher used statistical test with paired sample t-test stated by SPSS 25.00. the result of this test showed that tvalue (5.125) > the ttable (1.761), it mean that H0 rejected and Ha accepted so the result of this research indicate that There is any effectiveness of dubbing movie strategy through ecocriticism movie on student’s speaking ability at second grade of Unggulan Harapan Ummat Senior High School. Then to answer the second question the researcher share questionnaire and the result show that all student give positive respond about dubbing movie strategy which applied on speaking class.
