  • The purpose of this journal is to describe how the local value values in Bali can be used in developing early childhood character. Bali is very rich in culture and famous for its noble values. In retrospect, the noble values known as Tri Rich Parisudha and Tri Hita Karana are deemed necessary to be instilled in children from an early age. This is because the culture and values of local Balinese wisdom are very close to the child’s environment and can be seen their implementation in everyday life. In essence, early childhood will very quickly absorb environmental information, everything is contextual (close to the child’s environment). In instilling character values in early childhood, the values of Balinese local wisdom cannot be separated from the habituation and modeling methods. The planting of the Tri Kaya Parisudha and Tri Hita Karana concepts will be more effective with children who are given real examples of their application in everyday life and carried out repeatedly with various activities. The values of Balinese local wisdom are closely related to the 18 values in character education, thus it is very appropriate for the development of early childhood character values to be carried out based on the values of Balinese local wisdom.
