- This research was hold on March until May 2005, it about pest insects of rice composition at field area in Karang Agung and Pagar Gunung Village, Rambang Lubai sub district of Muara Enim South Sumatera. The insects samples were taken by insect net, light traps and sticky traps from four transects of two rice field area. The insect samples were analyzed at laboratory of animal taxonomy Sriwijaya University Palembang. The insects which were collected were from four ordered and eight species at two rice field area. Their composition were relative same, at two field area have index similarity 76.9 % and correlation index 0.803. Key words : Pest insects, Composition and rice field.
