- This research it was hold at March to April 2009 is about Arthropods composition of surface soil at Sriwijaya fertilizer factory Palembang. The Arthropods samples were taken by pitfall traps at three areas each was fourty pitfall traps. Soil temperature was measured at the field and chemist soils were analyzed at laboratory. Surface soil Arthropods which were collected were from 9 ordered, 18 families, 21 species and 1170 individuals at area I, 12 ordered, 29 families, 42 species and 3161 individuals at area II, and 12 ordered, 32 families, 44 species and 3583 individuals at area III. Their Arthropods of composition order between in areas Sriwijaya factory and green barrier and bust areas was not different significantly, with similarity index 76.3 %. Physical and chemical factor of soil from those three habitats were still optimal to support surface soil Arthropods life cycle. Urea dust effect was small to inhibit abdudance to surface soil Arthropods.
