- Forest destruction has been continuing in all over of country of Indonesia. Human activities are blamed the main factor that destruct forest ecosystem and ultimately destroy forest function, including in forest area of West Sumatra. We have transected Batu Busuak forest in Kelurahan Lambung Bukit Padang on February to April 2008, to calculate plants composition in order to measure forest destruction. Transecting has been carried out both purposively and systematic in two location within the forest area. We found 27 species from 15 families and 152 plants individual. The highest important value index as for Macaranga tanaria (41,51%) and the lowest one as for Knema laurina (1,41%). There is different plant composition between two different locations.
