- Research about medicinal plants that used by people of Suka Rami village, Air Nipis was carried out from October 2012 to January 2013. The purpose of this research was to identify the species of medicinal plants used, part of plants are used and the way of preparing, consuming and treating the plants as herbal medicines. The methods of this study were observation, interview and plants collection. The data was collected by using Purposive and Snowball Sampling methods. The result shown there were 51 species plants belonged to 35 families (1 species was unidentified yet) used as medicinal plants by people of Suka Rami village. Part of plants mostly used, respectively were: leaf (50%), fruit (18.3%), rhizome (8.3%), exudates (8.3%), stem (5.3%), seed (3.3%), whole plant (3.3%), root (1.6%) and combination of stem and leaf (1.6%). Preparation of medicinal plants included squeezing, grinding, boiling, scraping, burning, shredding eating and using as sleeping pad.
