- Research on feeding behavior of crab-eating macaque (Macaca fascicularis) has been conducted from February to August 2011.Observation was carried out 2-3 times a week, started from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The study was conducted to determine the type and plant parts were consumed by M. fascicularis.The data collected by using continuous sampling method, focused on five individuals as the main target animals. The results showed that M. fascicularis consumed 15 species of plants, they consumed fruits, leaves, flowers and petioles. Ficus benjamina was the highest percentage of fruit consumed by M. fascicularis, it was 38.50%. The leaves that consumed with the highest percentage were leaves of Gigantochloa serik,with the percentage of 40.47%. The most widely consumed of flowers were flowers of Dillema exceisa with the percentage of 65.26%. While plant that consumed the petiole was only Tectona grandis.
