- This research was conducted to evaluate the effect of lemuru fish oil encapsulation in fermented palm sludge based diet and katuk leaf extract on layer blood profile. This study utilized comletely randomized design. There were 40 layers in 7 months production stage allocated into 4 treatments with 10 replications for each treatment. Treatment were based on different levels of the usage of lemuru fish oil encapsulation in fermented palm sludge based diet and katuk leaf extract. Results of the lemuru fish oil encapsulation in fermented palm sludge and katuk leaf extract based diet showed the RBC (2.11 106/μl-2,37 106/μl), WBC (23.6 10-25.0103/μl), Hb (8.6g%-9.6g%), PCV (28.0%-30.9%), MCV (130.5fl-133,1fl), MCH (40.2 fg- 40,9fg) and MCHC (30.7%-31.3%). It was concluded that the lemuru fish oil encapsulation in fermented palm sludge and katuk leaf extract based diet level of 2.5% , 5% , and 7,5% significantly (P<0,05) affected on PCV, but unaffected (P>0,05) on RBC, WBC, Hb, MCV, MCH, and MCHC of layer hens.
