- Nowadays, the using of energy saving lamp (LHE) in our society is getting more increase day after q~y since energy crisis. Based on industrial department as mentioned in Republika website, the need of-LHE in Indonesia on 2009 will be increased until 60%. As known, in general there are two categories ofLHE's type used in our society. They are licensed LHE's and not licensed LHE's. Both of them have different characteristic each other. Usually, not licensed LHE's have bad impact in their lifetime. On the other hand, LHE is one of the major factors of harmonic causes in power systems. This paper focus on how far harmonics affect to the lifetime of energy saving lamp in electric power system.
