- Competitiveness in the business world requires human resources of high quality. Human resources as plantation labor must be protected, because they are first factor in production, the protection can be done by way of implementation of Occupational Health and Safety programs within the context of the workplace so that workers avoid accidents at work. The purpose of this study was to analyze the safety and health in the work environment and employee performance. This study uses survey methods and questionnaires as the primary means of data collection. The research was conducted at the division Harvesters PTPN III Kebun Rantau Prapat in North Sumatra. For the analysis of this measurement data using the average interval scale.
