- A community income can be increased by developing an existing regional potential through superior sector owned. If commodities superiority that developed, furthermore a people’s income should increase. This research has the goal: 1). Analyzing the various agricultural commodities in excellent Kepahiang district 2). Assessing the structure of growth in agricultural commodities Kepahiang District.3) analyzing the prime agriculture commodities and how to formulate their development strategy. The results showed that are agricultural commodity superiority such as corn, rice, cassava, sweet potatoes vines, coffee, cocoa, pepper, vanili, kapok, nutmeg. The growth of structure that classify a commodity to grow fast and forward as cassava, sweet potatoes coffee, pepper and cocoa. The commodity forward but it is slow-growing are panili, kapuk, nutmeg. The commodities rapidly growing is corn. Through the SWOT analysis approach (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats), three alternative strategies are proposed, which are: 1) developing agriculture on suitable areas and applying the recommended method of agriculture cultivation, 2)increasing production and improving quality of agriculture and applying diversification to gain competitive advantages, and 3) increasing the roles of the institutions involved in the agriculture agribusiness, both at farmers level up to marketing system
