- The purpose of this study was to determine the performance improvement strategies for DPPKAD staff to increase effectiveness of local tax revenues in Bengkulu City. Type of data used in this study is the primary data and secondary data. Source of data used in this study is the primary data obtained directly from respondents through interviews with a questionnaire tool for DPPKAD staff and local taxpayers in Bengkulu City, while the secondary data obtained from the institution where the research. This study used a qualitative descriptive method by using SWOT analysis. Result show that strategies that can be applied is the turn around strategy, where the greater weakness than strength and greater opportunities than threats. The strategies that can be used are improving the tax management system, increase efforts to the implementation of reward and punishment on the personnel and taxpayer, and improving facilities and infrastructure inventory such as computers and sophisticated means of mobility and quality.
