- The objective of this study is to analize the development of local tax effort and the influence of Dana Alokasi Umum on local tax effort in districts and municipalities in Bengkulu Province. This study employs a panel data set of 9 districts and 1 municipality in Bengkulu Province over the time period of 2005-2009. The result show that there is significant influence of Dana Alokasi Umum (DAU) to the tax effort. This result indicates that local goverment in Bengkulu Province use Dana Alokasi Umum (DAU) to optimize their local tax revenue.
