- This research aimed to analyze the influences of economic growth and labor force to unemployment rate in city of Bengkulu in 1995-2009. Test analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression with the annually time series data in the periode 1995-2009. The data used in this research is the sekunder data from the bureau statistic center city of bengkulu. Method analysis used is multiple regression analysis. Based on the research and multiple regression analysis obtained the formulation as follows : Y = 18,288 – 0,796 X1 + 0,027 X2. Based on the analysis results and testing of hypotheses that are known to simultaneously obtained Workforce, Economic Growth jointly influence the level of unemployment in the city of Bengkulu. From the analysis with partial t test that labor force does not affect on Unemployment rate in the city of Bengkulu. Economic growth has significantly affect on the unemployment rate in the city of Bengkulu. From the research obtained that coefficient of determination value is 0,411. It means that 41,16% variation of the unemployment rate in the city of Bengkulu explained by independent variables, where 58,84% explained by other factor out of this model.
