- The aim of this study is to determine the diversity of microalgae in the swamp water on Bentiring Permai District, Bengkulu City as an alternative source of learning on the protists subject in senior high scool. The sample used survey method at four stations by purposive sampling. The data analized descriptively. Base on the research result, swamp water Bentiring Permai Bengkulu City village can acts as a learning resource on the subject of biology protists in senior high school. There are 32 species of 4 divisions microalgae, consisting of 29 species of Chlorophyta, 1 species of Euglenophyta, Chrysophyceae, Cyanophyta were found on the research area.
