- The aim of the study is to analyse the English subject as local content given in SDN at Muara Bangkahulu district. The method of the research used descriptive analysis. The sample of the research were the English lessons book used by the English teachers at SDN Muara Bangkahulu district which consisted of 3 elementary schools (SDN), namely SDN No 71, SDN No 88 and SDN No 69. Based on the analysis, it was indicated that the majority of the English lesson books were not yet in term of local nuance. Besides, the content of the book still used an old curriculum. The analysis result was used as a base data to arrange the the books which adopted the Bengkulu local nuance as well as Curriculum Based Competence (KBK).
