  • ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to ascertain the disctinct difference in self-confidence using the active play method. The research method used was a quasi experiment. The subjects in this study were children in group B of Al-Kahfi Islamic PAUD Bengkulu City. Data collection techniques applied observation techniques. Data analysis applied statistical analysis techniques, prerequisite test analysis and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results showed that there were differences in self-confidence in the constructive experimental group with the role experimental group, as evidenced by the results of the calculation of the t-test obtained value tcount 3.84 greater than ttable 2,262. Thus, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, therefore, there was an influence of active play on the children’s confidence in the constructive experimental group. Through this research, it is expected that it would be applied to other development aspects such as fine motor development, cognitive and social development of children.
