- The purpose of this study was to describe the building blocks of the eleven patriot novel by Andrea Hirata in terms of the structural approach. The method used in this research is qualitative method. In collecting data, the author uses reading techniques, referral techniques, and techniques of enumeration. the reading technique done is to read the entire eleven patriot novels by Andrea Hirata repeatedly to get detailed results. refer technique requires understanding the whole novel in detail. the technique of counting is done to obtain relevant data related to research. The data sources used in this study are eleven patriot novels by Andrea Hirata, a span publisher (Yogyakarta) in 2011. Based on the research that has been done, the following results are obtained; (1) the theme of this Sebelas Patriot novel by Andrea Hirata is about the attitude of the defense of the homeland, which is described through the character of curls and his father. 2) the mandate in this novel is to not give up easily and be easily discouraged in reaching expectations and ideals. 3) the grooves used in this novel are backward grooves. 4) there are some in eleven patriot novels among them: the style of the eleven patriot novels; are parable language styles, metaphorical styles, personification language styles, prefresist language styles, prolepsis language styles. 5) there are 11 characters in eleven patriot novels. 6) the setting in the Sebelas Patriot novel is the setting of the place and setting. 7) the author's point of view in the Sebelas Patriot novel is me (curls) as the narrator or main character. The conclusions in this novel are described through curls and fathers who never give up and are full of struggle in playing football. mandate to not give up easily and be easily discouraged in fulfilling hopes and ideals, the plot used in this vovel is a backward flow, the style of language used is parable, personification, prefresis, proflesis and prolepsis, there are 11 characters in this novel the background used is the place setting and the time setting, the point of view of the eleven patriot novels is me (curls).
