  • Bengkulu water estuary located on Bencoolen street, Pasar Bengkulu, Sungai Serut, Bengkulu City. Bengkulu water estuary has begun to experienceerosion which has caused erosion of river cliffs and on the left side of the road. If it is not immediately handled, the road on the edge of the bengkulu water estuary will be damaged. The purpose of this study was to analyze the discharge that occurred at the Bengkulu estuary and planned the structure revetment to secure the river bank or road near the bengkulu water estuary. This research is a case study research with research methods in this study covering the collection of primary data (water flow velocity data) and secondary data (rainfall data for the past 10 years and soil mechanical data of Bengkulu water estuary). The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the Sumatra River Region VII and Bengkulu Provincial Public Works and Spatial Planning Services. Primary data is in the form of direct observation andmeasurement in the field. Obtained from the calculation is discharge in the field is 45,264 m3/s is smaller than when the flood discharge of 521,711 m3/s, it is necessary to design revetment as river bank protection in an effort to control of scour or erosion and overflow on the left side of the road. Revetment is planned to be 20 m long with a total weight of 61,23 tons and stable control of 3,1 meets the requirements of the safety factor which is greater than 1,2.
