- The purpose of this study was find out the principles of shari’ah compliance in Islamic banking and the perception of islamic banking employee of shari’ah compliance. The research was based on both primary and secondary materials. The primary data were gathered through sample questionnaire survey and personal interviews by the researcher; the secondary data were obtained from Qur’an, Hadiths, different circulars/letters, manuals, research books and journals. This research used qualitative approach with a case study and library research.Data collection technique in this research used questionnaire and were analyzed the likert scale score of each respondent’s answer. It’s found that, in generally the employees of islamic banking in the city of Bengkulu have perseption that islamic banking can’t implement all of the principle of islamic shari’a that must be applied such as riba, gharar, maysir and zalim.
