- The aim of this study is to examines the influence of leader-member exchange on employees performance of PT PLN (Persero) Bengkulu area; examines the influence of leader-member exchange toward work engagement on employees of PT PLN (Persero) Bengkulu area; examines the influence of work engagement on employees performance of PT PLN (Persero) Bengkulu area; examines the work engagement as mediating the influence of leader-member exchange on employees performance of PT PLN (Persero) Bengkulu area. The type of data used is primary data obtained through the questionnaires. Total sample sets of this research is employees of PT PLN (Persero) Bengkulu area are 69 respondents by using the survey method. Sampling method use is census method that is all the population used as research sample which amounted. The techniques for data processing this research used SPSS 16. The method of analysis in this study using Mediated Regression Approach, as well as testing using t test and F test. The results of the analysis showed that: 1) Leader- member exchange support have a positive and significant impact on employee performance; 2) Leader-member exchange have positive and significant effect on work engagement ; 3) Work engagement has a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees; 4) There is a positive and significant influence between leader-member exchange to employee performance mediated by work engagement.
