- The purposes of this study are to examine the effect of firm size, non perfoming loan (NPL) and growth on profitability. Profitability in this study used the return on assets (ROA). The objects of this study are commercial banks listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2013-2017. This study used purposive sampling technique. Based on these criteria, there are 17 banks as the samples in this study. The study used multiple regression analysis. The results study shows that firm size has significantly negative effect on profitability, non-performing loan (NPL) has significantly negative effect on profitability and growth has no significant effect on profitability.
