  • Critical thinking skill as cognitive activity for the students in learning could be used because it could give maximal education quality result. There was learning model to improve critical thinking skill which was called active integrative listening model based local wisdom. This model was an effective inovation that could be used by educator in learning listening. It was consisted of three components (receiving, building, and responding) and emphasized dynamic attitude from active listening, stressed in listening preparation, contextual and self-comprehension, explanained meaning and attention, self evaluation to know the result of listening, and goal decision. This model could be done in four stages in three parts: pre-listening such as 1) listening preparation, listening goal determination, listening content analysis, and listening understanding. While listening like 2) listening prose application; attention, explanation meaning by understanding, interpretation, evaluation, and responding for each listening meeting, although it emphasized in one or two components depend on context and listening goal. 3) Listening result of effectiveness assesment such as the listener did reflection his work to determine what he did, and whether his attitude effective or not. Post listening like 4) Did reflection in listening goal, the students would analyze whether the result of listening could be understood or not. This model could give appropriate solution in improving students’ critical thinking skill in attiitude, knowledge, and behavior aspects.
