- The title of this research is “Characteristic Comparison Poverty Society Farmer and Fishermen Bengkulu City (Case Study at Sub-District Pematang Gubernur and Sub-District Malabero)”. The purpose of this research is to know about the condition poverty society at bengkulu city especially for a farmer and fishermen at Sub-district pematang gubernur and malabero. This research is using the descriptive analysis which presenting by using frequency tabulation and comparison. This research used primary data. The sample in this reseach involve 75 respondent. Sampling withdrawal is using accidental sampling. From this research, show that most of poverty society in pematang gubernur and malabero had average income is Rp1.511.000. but got family members burden as much as average three to four person. And average of food expenditure is 73.50%.
