- This study is aimed to describe the acknowledgment of students‟ difficulties and their causes in translating English text into Indonesian by the fourth Semester of English Department Students of Universitas Bengkulu in The Academic Year 2018/2019. The population of this research comprised of fourth semester students, and sample were 67 students. The instruments of this research were questionnaire and interview. the data were analyzed by using percentage formula. The result of the research showed that factors that caused the fourth semester of English Department Students of Universitas Bengkulu had difficulties in translating English text into Indonesian, were : 1. In linguistic factors, most of the knowledge and understanding of the students about finding words that are not listed in the dictionary (26.87%) in translation is still limited, because of the lack of open dictionary, and 2. Non linguistic factors, most of the knowledge and understanding of the students in translating texts that was related to medical is (40.30%), technical is (37.31%), chemical is (34.33%) are still poorly understood, due to lack of scientific dictionary.
