- This research was aimed at investigating how the English Education Study Program students, classes A and B, academic year 2017/2018 at the University of Bengkulu pronounced English Fricative Consonants. This research was a descriptive study with both of qualitative and quantitative methods. The population in this research was the 79 fifth semester students of English Education Study Program. The numbers of samples were 20% of the population. The result of this research shows that most of the students pronounced English fricative consonants incorrectly, especially /ʒ/, /θ/, /ð/, /z/, and /v/. The students were not good at pronouncing these consonants. Meanwhile, the students were good enough at pronouncing /f/ and /ʃ/. However, the students were good at pronouncing /s/ and /h/ consonants. The highest percentage of incorrect pronunciation was consonant /ʒ/ with 75%.
