- This research was aimed at finding the types of transition signals used by the students and finding the most dominant type of transition signal by the students of English Education Study program graduated in 2017 at the University of Bengkulu. This research was a descriptive quantitative study. The subjects in this research were 12 theses background from the students of English Education Study Program who graduated in 2017. The result of this research shows that there were five types of transition signals used by the students based on Oshima and Hogue’s theory such as transition signal for chronological order, transition signal for cause and effect, transition signal for addition, transition signal for comparison and contrast and transition signal for giving example. The most dominant transition signals used by the students was chronological order with 38,5%.
