- ICT becomes widespread and used as teaching and learning media such as mobile phone. The objective of this study were: (1) to know students of SMAN in Kepahiang perceive of the use of ICT in mastering vocabulary and, (2) to know learning activities that students of SMAN Kepahiang like to learn English vocabulary using ICT. The designed of this study is mix method such as quantitative and qualitative method. The instruments were questionnaire and interview. The results show that students perceive of the use of mobile phone for mastering vocabulary is positive. Majority of students agree that mobile phone could improve vocabulary, motivation and positive attitude. It probably because mobile phone applies not only audio, but also audio visual and moving object, such as looking up edictionary, playing games, listening to music and watching films.
