- The purpose of this study was to describe (a) the principal's innovation in improving school library planning. (b) innovation of principals in improving library implementation. (c) principal innovation in library monitoring and evaluation (d) supporting factors and inhibitors of school principals in improving library services. Qualitative descriptive research method. The subjects of this study were the principal, the deputy head of the infrastructure and infrastructure department, the head of the library, the librarian, the board of teachers and students. Data collection is done through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses interactive analysis techniques. The results show that are the first study, innovation in planning makes short-term service programs long-term. Secondly, innovation in library implementation services is done by adding a book collection, using a computerized system, all three innovations in monitoring the use of library users from both teachers and students, actively using materials from the library.
