  • The purpose of this study was to describe the management of the natural sciences laboratory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Subjects were principals, laboratory managers, science teachers, and students. The results of the study showed that the laboratory management was held to provide full support for the effectiveness of science learning, especially in schools. In order for such an intention to be achieved, the management of the science laboratory is always endeavored so that the best possible management, organizing, monitoring and evaluation functions can be implemented. In the management of the science laboratory, various obstacles were found, but schools tended to address this normally and normally, with no excessive reaction. The obstacles there are substantive ones that are technical in nature. More substantive obstacles concerning each science teacher's understanding of the importance of the science laboratory and its management strategies are not yet optimal. Other obstacles include technical barriers which involve a lack of funds for the procurement of various needs of the science laboratory. School operational assitance funds are still very minimal that can be used for the implementation of a good science laboratory. Key Word : management, Science laboratory
