  • Abstract HEADTEACHER EFFORTS IN IMPROVING TEACHER’S PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE (Qualitative Descriptive studies at SMA Muhammadiyah Kepahiang) by ABDUL ROKHIM NPM : A2K016013 The aim of this research is to descript the principal;s role in improving teacher‟s professional competencies. In specific indicator‟s to descript : 1) The headteacher‟s role in making his teacher understand about core of knowledgde according their subjects; 2) Headteacher‟s role to make his teacher understand the structure of scientific method; 3) Headteacher‟s role in developing teacher‟s insight; 4) The headteacher‟s role in developing teacher‟s profession. The result of commonly, the headteacher had made some efforts to improve the teacher professional competencies. The teacher‟s understanding about core of knowledge by joining in teacher routine meeting, peer teaching, to construct school curicullum, motivating them to do teaching and learning research, science‟s writing and support them in joining teacher profession organization.
