- This research was a descriptive qualitative research. The objective of the research was to describe the teaching styles performed by Expert English Teachers’ at Junior High School in Bengkulu. The participant of this research was two Expert English Teachers who teach at Junior High School in Bengkulu who had taught more than ten years. The data were collected by observing eight times class meeting by using observation protocol and interview protocol. Then data were analyzed by qualitative analysis. The result of this research showed both Expert English teachers could vary teaching styles in many purposes and different situation. Eight components of teaching styles were performed by Expert English teachers. There was one components which was not performed, it is Switching (Oral-Visual Switching). From the result, the researcher concluded that the Expert English Teachers varied eight components of teaching style. They also could attract students’ attention and avoid boredom during learning activity. But, they needed to vary switching (oral-visual switching) to help students became relax and comfortable following the lesson. Key words: Teaching styles, Expert English Teachers.
