- This research aimed to determine the effect of group counseling of rational role reversal technique in order to improve students’ self-efficacy. The method that used was an experimental design method one group pre-test post-test. The research subject was students of SMA N 3 Kota Bengkulu class X MIPA 5 with 30 students as respondents and 6 students as experimental subjects wich were selected based on the results of questionnaires that have been given. The sampling technique of research that used was purposive random sampling technique. The data collection technique that used was questionnaires self-efficacy. The results which was obtained in this study indicated that students’ self-efficacy increased after they was given a group counseling of rational role reversal. It was shown from the differences between test results of pre-test and post-test of the students’ efficacy with T=-4,064 and p=0,010, then the value of p<0,05, so it can be concluded that Ho is refused and Ha is accepted. This means that the implementation of group counseling rational role reversal technique able to improve students’ self-efficacy.
