- Purpose of this research to describe how to the social control of gambling cards behavior. Along with the development of the state of society, society control and gambling are always changing. Specifically this research purpose to find out how the control of society and the factors of gambling at Arga Jaya village. For analyze the data, the authors used qualitative analysis techniques. Accumulation of data is done by using intrevies, observation, and documentation. The result that until now there are three (3) steps of social control by the society at Arga Jaya village. First of preventive action (sosialization and persuasive), second of represive ( social pressure, coercive, reprimand, and sanction), third of social control through a gossip. While the gambling factors at Arga Jaya village consist of five (5) factors namely social and economy factor, stuasional factor, study factor, persepstion factors about the probability of tyhe winner, and perceptions of skills factor. Gammbling behavior becomes a social problem, because gambling behavior is a deviant behavior and violates the norms and values that exist in society.
