- This study aims to describe the consumptive behavior of high school student in seeking social status in the community. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. Informants of this research were high school students in Bengkulu City. The results of this study indicated that consumptive behavior of high school students in Restaurant Panties Pizza, Bengkulu City was a behavior that is caused to maintain the appearance of self, prestige, and status symbols. This behavior was done continuously and excessively, in order to maintain the performance, prestige, and social status. With the status of those they were willing to spend their pockets to eat at a expensive place. They did not mind the allowance given by the parents were exhausted, they even feel proud because they can eat in expensive places and feel like a modern youth.
