  • Prostitution is the practice of prostitution, sex work done by commercial sex workers (PSK) by surrendering or selling services in the hope of getting paid from people who use sexual services. Activities like this of course bring an impact to the surrounding environment, one of which affects the psychosocial development of children living around prostitution practices Baai Island Bengkulu City. This research will explain about the Impact of Prostitution Practice on Child Psychosocial Development which seen from Aspect of Intellectual Development, Social Development, Moral Development, Development of Religious Awareness, Play Development. This research uses qualitative method with determination of purposive sampling Informan and data collection techniques: observation, interview, and study documentation, then analyzed qualitatively. The results of research using 5 important aspects in psychosocial development showed that the practice of prostitution mostly negatively negative such as the lack of academic achievement and non-academic owned by children, school dropouts, children experiencing maturity so fast, the number of children who are accustomed to smoking, hard, glue aibon, drinking comics, watching porn videos, dating, then the lack of religious knowledge and habits of children playing toys that are played by adults such as playing playing cards, dominoes, pitting chicken. Based on the results of the research, there are several recommendations that can be done to overcome the problems such as: making programs that give attention to children such as involving social workers to socialize the parents and community and children empowerment program in place of prostitution practice and conduct evacuation of children when the child is aged more than 15 years.
