- It was done reseach about butterflies species at Pantai Panjang And pulau Baai Natural Park Bengkulu Province on February-May 2016 with aim to obtain butterflies species in there. Sampling spot determined by purposive sampling whereas sample collection was done by exploration method. Sample collection was done in the morning at 08.00-10.00 and in the afternoon at 15.00-17.00, under sunny weather using insect net. Sample lied on a lying board and dried in oven 40 o C in temperatur, then preserved within collection box. Indentification was done in Biology Laboratory Basic Science Building, Mathematic Faculty And Natural Science University Of Bengkulu. Obtained butterflies grouped into its family and spcies the data was analyzed desciriptively. from the research, it was known that there are 16 species of butterfly grouped into 4 families, contained 163 individuals those are Ideopsis juventa, Ideopsis similis, Junonia orithya, Hypolimnas bolina, Neptis hylas, Euploea mulciber, Danaus chrysippus, Parathyma perius from Nymphalidae Family. Papilio memnon, Papilio polytes, Papilio demoleus, Pachliopta aristolochiae, Graphium doson from Papilionidae Family. Eurema hecabe, Delias hyparete from Pieridae Family and Danaus melanippus from Danaidae Family. Kata Kunci : Butterflies, Purposive sampling, Cruising method
