- This study aims to describe the role of a cultivation fish group (Pokdakan) as a activator of freshwater fish cultivation business run by members of pokdakan. This research was conducted in Sido Luhur village, Padang Jaya subdistrict, North Bengkulu district. Pokdakan has a role with activities such as capital to assist members in carrying out the cultivation, saving and loan activities, production management, marketing activities aquaculture production of fish. The informants were selected by using purposive sampling. The data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The data were analysed, through data reduction, data presentation and conclusing. This study uses the theory of structural-functional. The informants management and members pokdakan Sido Luhur village of six people. Evidence suggest that the role pokdakan of assist member capital in the form of fish fingerlings and fish feed, held a saving and loan activities, helping members to marketing. Fish cultivation business to remain is running, the management and members interact with each other by holding regular meeting and mutual cooperation followed by all members of the apporpriate regulatory pokdakan, so pokdakan can achieve the goal in running freshwater fish cultivation business.
