- This researchwas aimed to find out how frequent students used Google search to finish their writing assignment and to know the influence of the percentage of Google used towardsthe writing score of each student. The subjects of the research were 52of the second semester students of the English Education Study Program. The data were collected by administering the questionnaire and giving writing test toward the subjects of the research.The data were analyzedby using percentage formula and regression analysis in SPSS application. As the result, most of the students of Second semester of English Education Study Program at Universitas Bengkulu often used the Google search. It was found that more than 90% (94.23%)from samples often used it at their home, theyalso used mobile phone to operate the Google search in order to help them to finish their writing assignment. For example for communicate, to translate writing text, or to find ideas of writing.The data also showed, 37 samples got writing score more than 70. This research also showed that the probability of Google search used was 3.1% could give influ ence th e sampl es’ writing s core a nd the influence w as ne gati ve.
