  • Testosterone is one of the male hormones that can be extracted from sea cucumber. Except of producing testosterone, the methanol soluble part is also a source of t_lectin used as an antifungal. This study aims to determine the effect of centrifuge on sea cucumber extraction in the separation of testosterone and T-lectin. The spin speeds used in this study were 1000, 2000 and 3000 rpm, while separation times used were 15 minutes and 30 minutes. Completely randomized design factorial with 3 times replications used in this study showed that the average of highest testosterone obtained at the centrifuge spin speed of 3000 rpm as big as 0.54345 mg/g (dry weight, dw), followed by 2000 rpm 0.4707 mg/g and 0.3742 mg/g at speed of 1000 rpm. The influence of the separation time showed the highest result obtained during 15 minutes, that is 0, 63457mg/g (dw), is highly significant to the separation time of 30 minutes i.e. 0.29442 mg/g (dw).
