- One provision in the juvenile justice system that must be implemented by the probation officer as a case study ofsocial (social studies), and it will be considered in the juvenile justice system. However, the existence ofa probation officer is less ofa concern, as ifthe child's role in the handling ofthe problem is the police, prosecutors, judges and prisons alone. This study discussed the role ofthe probation officer in the juvenile justice system and their constraints in doing their part in juvenile justice system. This study used the empirical approach to social law as a descriptive analysis. The results of this study show that the role of the probation officer in the juvenile justice system is a probation officer conducts research community, seeking information about children that could be done with the interview or collect data with home visits. This is done to make the social case study report become useful as a recommendation to the investigator or to assist thejudge in the court to make the right decisions for the child. Probation officers also conduct supervision or guidance for the child during the examination by the police, prosecutors andjudges. This is to prevent violations ofchildren's rights. There are two constraintsfaced by the probation officer, as constraints in the case studies on social, and constraints in the implementation of the juvenilejustice system. This study suggests to improve coordination between law enforcement agencies with the probation officer that will protect the interests of the child better.
