- In a process ofcourt, there is an authentication process through the investigation of evidence equitments. One of them is the accused explanation. The aim of this research are: to know the role of this evidence equitments in solving the criminal case. And to know what are the factors which are wed by the judge in determining whether to accept or reject the accused explanation evidence. This research is empirical. The result of this research showed that: (1) The role of accused explanation evidence in solving criminal case is used as a evidence equitment in court authentication. It is used as a consideration by the judge comilte in deciding criminal case. (2) The jactors which are used by the judge in accepting the accused explanation evidence is the explanation which ;s given by the accused in court about the action that he/she did, knew orfaced by him/herself This expfunation should has compatibility with the other evidence equitments. Besides, Ihe judge should has belief thai the explanation is honest. Ifthe judge think that il ;s dishonest he/she can reject iI.
