- One of social problems frequently emerges nowday is the existence of free children phenomenom. The amount of them is getting more day by day. More over when the monetary crisisattacked this country. They spread in the crowded city under going the risk act and crime. The study is designed to know the life of the free children in Bengkulu and social impact emerged. The research problem is formulated in question (1) What are the condition of live and behavior of free children?, (2) what is the impact cause by free children toward social life in Bengkulu provice?, (3) what are the efforts done by government and non governmental organizatin (NGO) to solve the problem and what is the obstacles faced?. The research method use is analitycal qualitative descriptive. The result showed thatfree children in Bengkulu in getting more significantly time by time. They derivefrom the poor family both in economic and social backgroud. In line with the result, the researcher suggest (1) the increasing of free children should be pressed. Do not let it grow up. (2) problem solving for this case can not be done partially and incidentally. But bu fully attention, must be schedule strictly, sistemic, comprehensive, and controlled and managed provesional personal with adequate finance.
